The central band contains a rich geometric and zoomorphic figurative display; an elaborate stylized Tree of Life with floral elements and spiraling tendrils alternates with stylized aquatic/exotic birds joined by snail and sea wave motifs. The body of the vase is bordered at the top and bottom by decorative bands featuring sinuous flowing waves that accentuate its spherical shape.
