Stoneware

A ceramic product with a dense, non-porous body, and therefore impermeable like porcelain, usually colored. It is obtained by the vitrification of a mixture of clay, silica, and quartz sand. This material, known for centuries in China, was the precursor to modern porcelain. Its unique glazing, achieved through salt glazing in high-temperature kilns, creates a glassy and glossy coating.
