A set of four square, hard earthenware tiles within wooden box frames decorated with silver leaf and burin engravings. The compositions depict stylized swallows, either single or in pairs, interpreted through a simple, modernist graphic language. Defined by engraved outlines and black lines that enclose solid polychrome enamel fields (in shades of green, black, and yellow), they recall the effect of cloisonné workmanship, translating its characteristic graphic effect into ceramics with a decorative sensibility that reflects the search for formal synthesis pursued by Richard Ginori in the 1950s.
