Melandri Box (wedding favor)

Melandri Box (wedding favor)

Box with a biconvex lenticular body and a continuous profile resembling a smooth pebble. The surface is characterized by a textured, slightly grainy glaze on the outside, in warm ochre tones with turquoise speckles, and a glossy copper-brown glaze on the inside.
The lid is decorated with the figure of a stylized fantasy bird, from whose beak hangs an element distinct from the animal’s morphology, evocative of the iconography of the stork and the theme of birth.
