Plate – Cantagalli

Majolica display plate richly decorated. In the center, within a circular reserve, is a mythological scene of the Judgment of Paris with the awarding of the apple; from it, four other circular reserves branch out at the cardinal points, each featuring human figures painted in grisaille. The rim, background, and all other decorative elements of the plate are adorned with Raphael-style motifs, alternating polychromy with monochromatic solutions.
