Doccia tulip pate

Porcelain soup plate with a polychrome floral decoration of oriental inspiration. The centerpiece features a typical purple peony, rather than the more classic red, while other flowers of the same hue are arranged along the rim, surrounded by spiral motifs and bordered by a red and gold Mytilinear ribbon from which other flowering stems emerge toward the center of the plate.
