A pair of glazed white porcelain shelf brackets, modeled with a strongly sinuous profile, featuring broad, opposing scrolls interspersed with ribs and reliefs that develop into curls and curled leaf motifs. The long, slightly tapered horizontal section is adorned with a succession of wavy, plant-like reliefs. The vigorous, sculptural modeling, still rooted in a Baroque-inspired ornamental repertoire but already oriented toward the greater freedom and sinuosity of Rococo forms, and the thick, irregular material are characteristic of Doccia’s early, still experimental, production phase.
